Project/Program Name:  Elevator Remote Control & Monitoring System
Description:  Pilot a system for remote control and monitoring of elevators as a means to minimize valdalism and improve security at remote rail stations.  Provide an expandable ability to remotely monitor elevator condition, set operating modes and respond to customer requests.
Scope:  elevator controller, traveling cable, system server, PLCs, remote control application, CCTV, audio, communications, central operator workstation
Project Owner:  NJ TRANSIT
Stakeholder Agencies/Departments/Suppliers:  NJ TRANSIT Rail Operations, NJ Department of Community Affairs, NJ TRANSIT Network Services, Automated Control Concepts Inc, Daidone Electric Inc
Involvement:   ​requirements identification, system engineering, specification development, project management, project controls, quality assurance (as NJ TRANSIT employee)
Notable Challenges:  management changes, separation of SCADA prototcols from other corporate wide area network traffic
Results Achieved:  Successful pilot of elevator remote control and monitoring
