Analysis
Document business needs and expected results.  Shadow operating personnel to study business processes and discover project requirements.  Identify stakeholders.  Document acceptance criteria.  Document risks (uncertainties), opportunities and constraints.  Verify traceability of project requirements and acceptance criteria and validate that they are necessary and sufficient to acheive the expected business results.
System Engineering
Understand the project environment and its integration with other projects.  Collaborate to identify and evaluate alternative paths for execution and determine feasibility of proposed solutions.  Specify system requirements and work flows.  Determine interfaces and coordination required.  Determine knowledge, skills and life-cycle support required.  Identify organizational requirements.  Verify traceability of system requirements and validate that they are necessary and sufficient to satisfy project requirements and acceptance criteria.    
Specification Review
Review a client's existing specifications for clarity, completeness, consistency, constructability.  Note potentially unnecessary or incorrect design constraints.

Project Management Plan
Define project charter, quality management plan, risk management plan, scope management plan, requirements management plan, schedule management plan, cost management plan, resource management plan, stakeholder engagement plan, communications management plan, document management plan, procurement management plan, asset management plan, configuration management plan, change management plan, etc.
Project Planning
Develop deliverables list, product backlog, phasing plan, work breakdown structure (WBS), contract data requirements list (CDRL).  Determine inspection and hold points.  Establish cost breakdown structure.  Establish resource and organizational breakdown structures.  Determine required resources and work activities.  Identify constraints.  Estimate work and costs.  Identify risks and uncertainty.  Define milestones & project controls.  Determine resource capacity & availability.  Identify required training, tools and materials to be used in delivering and supporting the product, and in managing the project.

Performance Measurement Baseline
Integrate scope, schedule and cost into a coordinated baseline for project performance measurement.  Report projected milestone dates, cash flow and resource utilization. 
Contract Review
Review client's existing contract language for clarity, consistency.  Identify ambiguities.  Recommend modifications as appropriate to ensure adequate control of contract performance.

Schedule Maintenance
Configure templates for collecting actual cost, progress, risk, contingency and resource utilization data from the field.  Update plan per actual reported data.  Incorporate receipt, review and response dates of contract submittals and requests for information (RFIs).  Integrate reported risks and scope changes.  Generate detailed look-ahead schedules.
Schedule Analysis
Review client-submitted schedules.  Validate activity relationships.  Identify variance from baseline, slipping activities, impact of delays and changes to the critical path.  Identify inappropriate constraints and unauthorized changes to activities, relationships and baseline values in progress schedule submittals.  Identify trends in the performance of distinct activity types.  Forecast estimates of cost and schedule at completion.  Propose mitigation measures.  Export schedule data for client analysis and reporting.
Project Reports and Dashboards
Configure dashboards, scorecards and reports for communicating project status, risks, forecasts and variances to sponsors, suppliers, stakeholders and team members.  Generate performance reports. 
Report Review
Review client's existing progress and status reports for clarity and completeness.   Recommend modifications as appropriate to ensure clear, concise, transparent reporting to sponsors, team members and stakeholders.
